The customary first post

Hello 2009.  

This is my first post.  I don’t really know what to expect from this endeavor.  I have some friends who write some really great blogs and I’m a little nervous to enter the same arena, but I think it will be a good exercise in organizing my own thoughts and maybe I could be a catalyst for conversation.

As I get accustomed to this venue, I hope to include topics such as faith, education, music, worship, social justice, science, philosophy, and photography.  For a guy who doesn’t even write down the grocery list, though, that might be a bit ambitious.  Here’s to new things!
